Currently stood in Boots staring at the endless aisles of products and realising I really don't want to give a single penny to any company who can't / won't refer to me as a woman. It's been 20 minutes, I've googled and looked up social media posts but they are so vague and sneaky I'm finding it hard to figure out which companies genuinely care about women.

If you have any information / recommendations please post, I know you lot are super clever at this sort of thing 🤗

There are lots of women on Etsy /TikTok who do reusable pads & period knickers too.

Not Yoppie.
Surely the morning cupboard people know what a woman is. Moon cup, that should be.
Autocorrect, come here you, give me a hug.

PaddleBoardingMomma · 24/03/2022 13:33

Thanks ladies!! I gave up after another 10 minutes or so! 🤣 I'll go back when I'm better armed with info! Recommendations still welcome!

We like bodyform and especially like that they mostly don't smell like cheap air freshener

MumThatsNotFair · 24/03/2022 13:58

Lidl own brand don't smell of impending thrush and they don't market to 'bleeders'.

They also offer them free to women and girls in Ireland.

Second this.
PaddleBoardingMomma · 24/03/2022 15:41

Thank you! Body form was in my head but when I searched I just couldn't find the comments I thought id seen on here 😂 really appreciate the replies. I'm 33 years of age and finally had enough of my body being reduced to virtue-signalling terminology to appease the few. Never again!

Hey Girls - there is something about these guys (I can’t quite remember but I dropped them…)

I buy Rael online - they are a US company set up by women for women, and give to womens charities. They don’t use weasel words on their website either.

A wee bit pricey but amazingly good if you have heavy flow.

ScreamingMeMe · 25/03/2022 07:43

They donate to Bloody Good Period of 'bleeders' and incredibly rude, arrogant CEO fame.

I have a bleeding theory. Drag becoming mainstream. Young women hankering to be ‘abused’ by drag acts. And what language do they use?

I was speaking to a group of young women and they were talking about a hen night they were at - male stripper? Nah a drag act who was just insulting the women (oooooo I got burned by (whatever the hell their name was) SHE was soooooo goooood!).

JustOneMoreStep · 25/03/2022 08:47

I dont know much about company background as I've not been needing things for a while, but I bought Lilets brand maternity bands this week because they aren't afraid to use the word Mum on the packaging.

ofwarren · 25/03/2022 09:14

This lady is a gender critical feminist who is on twitter. She has a site selling period products.

That's her twitter handle btw, not her mumsnet account name.

Precipice · 25/03/2022 22:51

I buy Bella, a Polish brand. I find them more comfortable than Always.

What I have noticed is that UK shops show a total Always monopoly. Maybe not the case if you have access to a very big supermarket, but for anything smaller.

Panda8383 · 25/03/2022 22:59

Natracare products are quite good, good for sensitivity as they are organic..keep you fresh and not perfumed or anything, just order from Amazon

KittenKong · 26/03/2022 06:43

Hmmm - they ‘did’ something too (again I can’t remember but someone will know).

Yes they did

I may not always remember details - but I always remember an insult!

PaddleBoardingMomma · 26/03/2022 12:05

Fabulous work ladies, thanks so much! This place is such a great resource for women like me who are just waking up to how ridiculous things are for women and girls and don't want to support any company who can't / won't name us and support us x
