Annaleise Dodds tweeting about the National Women's Conference today.

Rosie Duffield replies with the extraordinary statement that she hasn't been invited for the last two years.

Rosie is the Chair of the Women’s PLP.

I'm not a lawyer, don't even know if it's possible in a political party, but if Rosie ever wanted to bring a case that they are discriminating against her for her beliefs I'd be right there with a crowdfunder. How is it different from the anti semitism shit show?

Do a Maya Rosie.

They are determined not to have my vote.

Labour hate women unless they have a penis

MrsOvertonsWindow · 19/03/2022 19:22

Starmer's no doubt lectured them all about the lady penis and issued all the wims with their list of topics they may not discuss:
No mentions of cervixes (unless using the Lammy version of science)
No mention of rights or safeguarding (unless in relation to white MC males)
Do not speak to Rosie, mention JKR or mumsnet
Red dresses, white aprons and bonnets to be worn at all times unless I decree otherwise.

Gratified as I am to know that they care about P&O, I'm as disturbed as ever that they continue to be indifferent to women.

MsGoodenough · 19/03/2022 20:19

The replies to Annaliese Dodds' tweet are almost entirely negative. A small glimmer of hope in this shitshow at least. I agree Rosie Duffield is clearly being discriminated against for her beliefs.

Labour hate women unless they have a penis
To paraphrase Greer "What women fail to realise is how much Labour hate them"
WalrusSubmarine · 19/03/2022 20:41

Gosh that looks like an excellent and diverse women’s conference. 3 middle aged white women and a white middle aged man and the key point they mentioned was the P&O employment scandal so they’ve clearly been spending the day discussing all the things that really affect women and not been distracted by men’s stuff. Good work labour. Hmm

Ok, so that's Labour's National Women's Conference with 4 people on the screen. Annaliese Dodds, Angela Raynor, Lou Haigh and Keir Starmer. Is Keir Starmer saying he's a woman now too? Is that why (s)he is part of the conference?

Cailleach1 · 19/03/2022 20:54

Rayner.

Disability News Service 10 March asked about Starmer's declaration "Labour is a party for workers" Not disabled people who cannot work, or unpaid carers (mainly women) and not for older people, students, nor unemployed people. No. Union members only.

Why would that be? And, with the Tube drivers, and train drivers, and DVLA staff unions all riding high in public esteem,(!) the prospect of handing the running of the country to militant union bosses is attractive... Is it?

It is extremely hard to believe that politicians care in the least about anything which concerns voters. Presumably the neatly tied up choice between devil and deep blue sea assures them they need never care

I really want a system where ideas are bottom-up, with the public input guiding from first back-of-envelope ideas, then on to final draft, because someone in the public will know a best-practice example, and someone will spot a bear-trap. And most or all politicians and most in Whitehall could be dispensed with, and replaced with technology.

(As could a lot of professionals.)
