So we are beginning to see more and more of this description of 'female' being used in the attempt to limit it to 'females'. I only hope in time the pendulum can swing back to be able to use women and mean only females. But for now, we have females and 'non-binary females'.
As I said on the Sainsbury's thread, I cannot argue about this. Because they are trying to ensure women are recognised for their achievements without the encroachment of males.
However, they have used 'female-identifying people'. To me that reads that they are inclusion of males anyway. And if so, they should be upfront and declare it mixed sex. Or... they have got the terminology skewiff in their attempt to be open to any female, however those female identify.
I have now started to be so very suspicious whenever I see the word 'women' these days. What a state of play! And we have posters crowing about it on other threads.
