I think on any other day that thread would have been really fascinating. The spite behind posting it when they did doesn't make them look good and detracts from the people they covered. It's so calculated and nasty. For what?

You'd think a Vagina Museum would have more warmth and depth.

I'm SO disappointed in the VM.

Florence Shechter's not an idiot, I've seen her talk a few times - she's bright and articulate and I think has just made a big mistake in who she put on the board of the VM, most of whom have blue hair and dress like a Children's TV presenter. PP who said "trying to be Cool Girl" is right, that's exactly what it looks like.

She's not Meghan Murphy or Posie Parker or Helen Joyce orBroness Nicholson or Joanna Cherry or Kathleen Stock - all women who present themselves in different ways, have different opinions and nothing much in common. But, they are commanding speakers and people pay attention to them because what they say is based in fact.

The VM could have been something amazing if it had someone who could command attention and was rooted in science at the helm. I think Florence could have done that, she's a good communicator and has a science background, but she swapped "thinking" for "cool", and here we are.

It's a shame.

Quite. I'd definitely take screenshots and report these personal DM threats from "transphobes" to the police who I'm sure will be eager to help. Or at least post them so we know who to unfollow?

I've never seen threatening messages sent to TRAs. I would have thought that it would appear online if there was a tendency to do that. But if they have then they should go to the police.

Saying"men don't have vaginas" is not a threatening message. although maybe the police see it as a hate crime.

Is that not the basis of the complaint against that Law student at Dundee uni? She said women have vaginas and they kicked her off ht course? And now she's suing them.

so maybe it won't be a hate crime after she's done in court.

These people - including the likes of the Vag Museum and various 'feminist' bookshops - have effectively inhaled the TRAs' mantra and frequently breathe its toxic miasma over unsuspecting customers. I suppose that's one good thing to be said for wearing face-masks.

They've got mass-scale DARVO perfected and honed down to a fine art. Never mind that those who claim not to know what a woman is have razor-sharp, accurately-targeted precision when it comes to aiming the rape and death threats. They will then claim it's they themselves being threatened (cf. the TRAs intimidating JKR outside her own home, then claiming that objecting to this publicly on Twitter meant SHE was the aggressor).

This kind of doublethink makes Carroll's Wonderland look like the epitome of sense, reason and logic - and that guy knew a thing or two about the manipulation and power conferred through language. TWAW is a case in point, and it's a weird position to take a stance with. How can you reason against the delusions of the delusional when everyone else - and probably even they - know fine well the Emperor's stark-bollock naked?

Yes. Until they offer some receipts and I can read what they said, I'll take these claims of "personal threats" with more than a pinch of salt.

The best example of DARVO was when multiple TRAs posted pictures of their dicks in responses to the children's artworks in her mentions following JKR asking for illustrations for her book, and then tried to claim she was a danger to children for saying that she wasn't reporting them and being light hearted about it.

Good lord, did you miss all the posters with razors behind them? Most apparently found by the same unfortunate person who found razors behind anti Brexit stickers whodhavethoughtitwellInever - imagine being that unlucky!

She can't manage buttons, but she can magically fiddle about with razors under stickers.

The poor person who found previous razors under stickers was wounded of hand by one. The palm of a hand, which is a peculiar place as most people would use a pincer grip to remove a sticker thanks to their opposable thumbs - as opposed to flapping your whole hand at the sticker as if your upper limb has the dexterity of a penguin.

The person sensibly disposed of the razor and poster in the bin. Instead of giving them to the police.
