Working in domestic violence

I've realised i want to work helping women who suffer from domestic violence. However I am worried that my transwomen are transwomen stance could prevent it (they still need support of course but not the same). Does anyone have any suggestions as a starting place?

i don't but you could look to see if any ads that you see invoke the exemption. section 9 or something.

I know someone who works in this field. While you are right to be concerned, in practical terms she has never come across this problem. Most women who work in this sector are well aware of the issues and if it crops up they just have to find a way round it, as has been discussed here many times, organisations have to tick boxes to get funding.
Have a look at the organisations working in your area. You may be able to get some experience by volunteering.

Thank you. At the moment I'm struggling to find ones who work close to me but I would imagine they require you to work away from where you live so you don't meet people connected to your work.

I think it may vary depending on area. You could ask NIA for any ideas/pointers.
