Brands that actually support women?

Bit of personal context: I work in a very big, very 'captured' company, full of Zoom-name pronoun announcements and transgender flags and, as the primary earner supporting a family, I feel like I need to be firmly in the GC closet.

However, I can also feel my mental health suffering as I feel increasingly like I'm selling out my principles and my authenticity when trying to navigate my language and bite my tongue. I would deeply love to be able to be more vocal and supportive in the fight for women's rights.

I want to take some baby steps to do what I can (coming out of long term lurkdom on here is one). While I know a personal boycott will not make much difference, I want to at least be more mindful of the brands I support or avoid, and not support other companies that are fully on the TWAW train.

The latest Body Shop signage has put them firmly on my boycott list alongside Lush, but are there ANY brands that have actually come out in support of women?

And any others that anyone else is boycotting on this principle?

I've just stopped biting my tongue and policing my language. The TRAs don't, so why should I? Everyone I work with knows I'm gender critical. They agree with me, and are varying levels of open with their own views.

I'm quite willing to take the flack if it blows up in my face. I will go to the press and become part of the public resistance.

I wish I could work for a company that proudly supports women. There seem to be so few.

One of the problems with highlighting companies that are firmly supporting women here is the possibility of those trans activists who monitor this board targeting them so tend to be a little more cautious recommending the good companies. But that said my personal boycott list grows ever longer.

I boycott Boots and Superdrug. I now use an on-line chemist chemistdirect for many of the things I’d have bought in a high street chemist as they aren’t wasting money on in-house magazines championing TWAW and spouting false suicide narratives. I also use my local chemists (and buy a lot less ‘luxury’ bath stuff).

I boycott Tesco for using Jane Fae. Anyone using Jane Fae is a hard no, I can’t believe none of these corporations do any due diligence. Prior to transition Fae campaigned and wrote articles supporting porn involving torturing women (and worse) to be made legal.

None of the major supermarkets are great although I’ve not seen anything about Lidl and Aldi. I search out more local suppliers to support directly.

TESCO USED JANE FAE? For what? For advice? Surely not?

I'm trying to think about it, Violet. Struggling to think of any.

I have a massive list of companies I know dance the wokey-cokey; the rest probably haven't done it so publicly yet.

I feel like if a list is made of companies that always use the word women or whatever gets made, activists will focus their attention on contacting them complaining until they change.

Good point; I hadn't thought about that. Argh, that's depressing. But yes, that would 100% happen.

I didn't know about Tesco and Jane Fae, @WomanStillNotAFeeling - glad I know now!

In terms of your job, dont put up with it, it will destroy you, your views are protected in law too, say you believe in reality not fiction and that it is affecting your mental health being unable to express yourself without fear, being polite should really be enough.

theres a number of legislation's that are in place to protect you, make yourself aware of them and use them as a shield to allow yourself freedom to protect your mental well being.

I disagree. Never burn your bridges at work, its far too easy to end up on an unofficial blacklist. There's an additional pressure on being the breadwinner imo.
