Here, group called Equality Network, and there are other groups too, someone needs to tally up how much is spent alltogether:

I ❤️ Joanna Cherry.

All that money from taxpayers wasted on what she rightly calls a “nebulous ideology” - and yet I understand that deaths from drug misuse in Scotland is higher now than when the SNP came into power. It’s shameful.

EgoSumFeminaNaturalis · 21/11/2021 07:27

Unfortunately such coverage has come into play very late in the day for Scotland and Scottish women.

Women's groups and individual women have been handing the press this sort of information since at least 2017.

I find it unforgivable that the media in the UK has been so weak on this till now, with a few honourable journalistic exceptions. Print media has a lot of making amends to do (as the BBC is perhaps starting to do).

This appalling scandal deserves an avalanche of coverage, and the role of Hunt and her contacts thoroughly and publicly investigated.

Yes, worst drug death rate in Europe, but civil servants get rainbow lanyards, yay.

From time to time, the Scottish government approaches us to provide support on building an inclusive workplace for LGBTQ+ staff, and we do so in ways that are appropriate, lawful and often mundane.”

I see the new tactic of ‘making SW out to be the reasonable ones against wild and spurious claims’ is practiced at all levels not just at CEO level.

This tactic is so clear once you realize that Nancy Kelley’s entire interview was based on it and untruthful denials. Like ‘SW don’t have that kind of influence in staff decisions’ (my paraphrasing - and to just reply with ‘Allison Bailey’), we are not influential downplaying, and the ‘I don’t know about’ that’ing denying knowledge so I won’t have to say anything on this explosive point.

This is just par for the course. The careful explanation of what was provided, but the ‘nothing to see here, you are all being ridiculous to suggest anything otherwise’ chaser seems an organisation wide ploy.

Gaslighting on a monumental scale. It’s outrageous 🤬

Yep

Scotland is lost. The Gender Bill is going through. It's part of Sturgeon's 'Legacy' plan before she fucks off to be CEO of UN Non-Men and foster children with The Invisible Man.

Save yourselves rUK.

EgoSumFeminaNaturalis · 21/11/2021 08:44

I was at a loss to understand how the Gender Bill hasn't been stopped in its tracks for breaching the human rights of women. But then I learned that the advisors whose job it is to do this work are the ones who are captured and driving it.

I think it may be the case that the Bill (and then Act) will go through, as @MiladyBerserko says, and it will be up to invidual women to challenge it in the courts.

One good win in the Supreme Court asap will be necessary to have any impact - and that costs money and resources, and relies on the bravery of individual women in Scotland. I pray (in the non-religious sense) that Joanna Cherry has something up her sleeve, because I would gladly support that.

Yes, Stonewall is not the only dodgy player in town that's inflated with public funding. Equality Network, Scottish Trans Alliance, Engender etc also have huge influence on policy and law in Scotland. They all are disproportionately reliant on easy money from the government to operate. These orgs would disappear in a puff of smoke if not regularly propped up by government funding. There's very little actual public support for them.
Compare them with how grassroots women's groups are funded with so many small donations from people.

I wonder if MSP will find many of their constituents disagree with this legislation and if that MSP finds themselves in danger of losing their seat at the next election, perhaps they will withhold their support? It's a possibility

FindTheTruth · 21/11/2021 09:11

"Leslie Evans, Scotland’s most senior civil servant, wrote on the staff intranet urging officials to work harder to move the Scottish government up Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index rankings"

Not a neutral act. Leslie going against the Nolan principles. Will John Paul Marks, her replacement, be neutral?
