I wonder what happens in other specialisms if a person stops attending?

For instance, in diabetes - would the consultant just shrug or would there be an effort o find out what happened to the patient? Espcieially if that patient was a minor?

I don't know. You would think if they're on hormones, they'd be invited for regular check ups and there would be follow up via their GP if they stopped attending.

I've never had any long term issues where I've been under consultant care so I don't know what the normal process is
