It's because it's about male dominance. Reaction to women having got too much now. And still wanting more.
More media inches given to us. Saying things that many men find unpalatable. Growing feelings of resentment, wanting to remind us who is in charge.
Women only stuff has irritated certain types of men for ages. And over the last few decades they feel that we have invaded THEIR spaces. Things that were traditionally (not legally) wholly or predominantly male domain.
Women are bloody everywhere now. Why should they have their own stuff as well as everything else?
The loudest activists seem to be mainly male and not trans.
It's nothing to do with actual trans people. Who are being manipulated and used, generally, I would say.
Constantly told they are at massive risk. That they are hated. I have no doubt there is discrimination and violence (male).
But if you look, there is no (that I have seen) action about any of that.
I read a study by a trans group the other day. Methodology rubbish getting the data.
Point is that raised a lot of points like high levels of homelessness, MH issues and etc.
There were NO actions for that org, or recommendations for wider trans support orgs to address any of it. The actions were all to get OTHERS to do stuff. And IIRC they didn't even mention the homelessness stats in the actions.
And this is the pattern over and over.
People who are vulnerable generally being used to push for things that do nothing to address actual issues.
Those pushing hard are IMO a mixture of... Probably best not say. Maybe put like this.
Those who prioritise access to single sex spaces
Those who feel that women saying no is outrageous
Those who think women and girls have too much and want to change that
Those who feel that reminding who is dominant in society is a fun hobby
