Maori GC women speaking out on YT

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 01/10/2021 16:16

I've just discovered these fierce and wonderful Maori women on YT - speaking about gender ideology and its attempt to impact on and colonise (again) Maori culture.

NZ is in danger of going the way of Canada and I feel so heartened to see and hear these women speaking out.

Posting here to amplify their voices.

Warning - Rexy is gloriously sweary:

Rexys A-Z of Gender Ideolgy

@SparklingLime

This is great. I can’t see the first woman’s name. Do you know if she’s on Twitter?
I havent been able to find her name and I'm currently on a twitter ban so can't look for her at the moment

"A one way ticket to "fuck, what did I do?""

Amazing.

SparklingLime · 01/10/2021 18:38

Ah, OK, @JackieWeaversZoomAc. Thanks so much for posting.

Imnobody4 · 01/10/2021 18:44

She is amazing, sharp and witty. Have bookmarked to watch again at regular intervals.

Artichokeleaves · 01/10/2021 18:51

Yup. Really, really want to join her on every word. Way past being polite or putting this nicely now.

OhHolyJesus · 01/10/2021 18:53

I found this channel recently too. They are brilliant aren't? I'm also worried about New Zealand, both gender ideology/self ID and the prisoner surrogacy reform.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/10/2021 18:54

They're both fantastic. Rexy's "f off" video was in response to the dismissive response she got making a submission via zoom to the government consultation.

TurquoiseBaubles · 01/10/2021 19:31

I'm nicking demockery. What a fantastic word.

zighead · 01/10/2021 19:41

What an amazing woman! Loving her definitions of TERF, in particular Tired of Explaining Reality to Fuckwits Grin

Today I learnt the meaning of the word quisling and it's very apt. Cheers Rexy

Quisling (/ˈkwɪzlɪŋ/, Norwegian: [ˈkvɪ̂slɪŋ]) is a term originating in Norway, which is used in Scandinavian languages and in English for a person who collaborates with an enemy occupying force – or more generally as a synonym for traitor.[1][2][3] The word originates from the surname of the Norwegian war-time leader Vidkun Quisling, who headed a domestic Nazi collaborationist regime during World War II.

Shit, they are brave.

1Endeavour2 · 01/10/2021 23:03

Awesome woman. Pathetic how the others ridiculed her. Have they no shame?

Datun · 01/10/2021 23:43

Placemarking to listen later

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 02/10/2021 08:17

Brilliant.

CreepingDeath · 02/10/2021 09:41

Thanks for this, will definitely watch later.

It is so important for minority women to speak out about this, as we are regularly branded as right wing and white supremacist, which is obviously nonsense.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2021 09:53

Prisoner surrogacy reform?

Also, have women been raped by trans prisoners in NZ? I thought Rexy said they had but I can't find any news articles (only ones about trans women placed in men's prisons)

LunaTheCat · 02/10/2021 09:55

Wow “ Amazing. Who is she?

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 02/10/2021 10:08

On the flip side there is the sex is something colonisers introduced and indigenous populations were all about gender.

The same women's group have been speaking to that.

Oh I worded that badly.

We often hear from ideologues how the sex binary was introduced to indigenous populations by colonisers who were apparently all gender fluid previously and had no idea about the sex binary before the white man arrived to enforce it upon them.

There's a few things going on, hate speech laws where they propose removing sex, including pregnancy and childbirth for "gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics" all of which remain undefined. So women will lose all protection. This was sneaked in as point 6 at the very end of the consultation so a lot of people didn't realise it was there and they provided misleading information at the start about the consultation.

Surrogacy laws are proposed to change to give intending parents all the power, with women asked to sign away all rights prior. If it goes the other way and the intending parent reject the child, all they get is whatever child support they might be able to claim.

With the surrogacy law they have worked out what a woman is and specify that they are female. Hypocrites.

Then there's the births, deaths and marriages act changes where they propose all you have to do is fill out a form and change sex on the birth certificate. They have talked about allowing name change at the same time and will allow this to happen multiple times. They may also allow many gender designations. This will be a gift to all crims in NZ, a one step identity change to evade justice among other issues. There will be no way to uphold sex based rights in the Human Rights Act and as above, they will be looking to remove those anyway.

They changed prison policy about 2013 so it was sex on the birth certificate for placement but could apply to go to women's prison with only the barrier of a more than two year term for sex offences. The prison officer mentioned three pregnancies occurring i female prisons, the inference is men were incarcerated with women who could not escape them and raped them. This has been kept very quiet, just like how they've suppressed all the rest.

These policies even if not law are already making a big impact.

ClemFandangoCanYouHearMe · 02/10/2021 10:25

She was treated disgracefully by the Select Committee. The SC seem to have treated any GC submissions with riducule and disdain. Their minds are obviously already made up.

I wish this was getting properly investigated by our media, but sadly journalism is non existent in NZ.

Izzy24 · 02/10/2021 10:29

Brave, articulate, powerful.

Thank goodness for her and people everywhere who are speaking out.

Is there nothing they will not use to twist to their own ridiculous narrative? Angry
Passmeamenuatthetottenham · 02/10/2021 10:32

Fucking glorious!

There is something so heartening about seeing the exact same issues and women being just as angry as we are, all the way over on the other side of the world.

Women unite!
