It’s amazing to me that Labour’s just been through the antisemitism scandal, and now are throwing themselves headlong into misogyny instead. Why can’t they see it!?!
Fuck knows.
So far what I have learned about Labour from this conference:
They think labour MPs should get a greater say in voting for their leader than ordinary members. (they aren't great believers in democratic principles and think power should be top down within the party)
They don't believe in biology and think that we should all be Winston and say black is white (they are so authoritarian they think we should be forced to say things we know not to be true and we should be punished if we don't comply)
They don't believe in raising the minimum wage at a time when there is a cost of living crisis, raising questions about just how socialist they are.
I have learnt nothing else about their policies or priorities beyond it seeming to be: party structure the most important thing, institutional sexism to keep those damn pesky old woman in their place and that they aren't hammering points home on a huge economic crisis.
Maybe they have some other interesting things to say, but Labour aren't doing anything but indulging in the culture war, whilst blaming the Tories for the agenda that they seem to be pushing perfectly well without on their own and seemingly incapable of doing any agenda setting on their own which isn't them and us namecalling.
Its beyond fucking tediacious.
What is there to vote for other than 'the tory party are evil, vote for us'.
