India Willoughby being vile about Julia HB

India Willoughby used to be a trans person I tried to listen to although I thought she was always obsessed by how feminine she looked and how well she passed. She seemed to think she was not just better at being a woman than other trans people but also most women to.

Now attacking JHB on Twitter as looking more manly than her. It’s hardly the BeKind, be a good, little lady, be nice to everyone is it?

I can appreciate there would be some envy on a career / journalistic level but IW comes across as a thoroughly unpleasant person.

I'm blocked by IW and I've never commented on any thread, ever on Twitter! I must be On A List.

IW said that the discussions involving trans people are "viscous and mocking" and yet also says that they thought Mumsnet would essentially be a bunch of silly women talking about prams. Sounds like something a man would say, after all, what else could silly wummins possibly be discussing?
All I remember when thinking about IW is them screaming "I am a REAL WOMAN! Let that penetrate". Interesting choice of words.

The PPs story of them being somewhat confrontational in a ladies changing room sounds about right, obviously hoping someone would take the bait so they could go off on a validating rant.
Most women just want to try on their clothes in peace and privacy.
This is a person who can't see the problem with biological males in women's safe spaces.
Says it all.

JHB is sometimes ' economical with the truth '. But in this case I'm with her. Willoughby ; wannabe.

Didn't IW once claim to be a 'cis woman'? I have a recollection of this.

Yes, I've a vague memory of that too.
'"Meet me in the middle," says the unjust man' comes to mind.

I just had a quick google and there's a couple on MN threads on it from August 2019. Someone commented, 'if India wants "cis", they're welcome to it'.

I had not seen the BB clip of IW channelling Pinocchio before - how I wish one of the housemates had asked IW what they had in common with the group of women that they do not have in common with a man.

I've run the full gamut of feelings about IW, and now feel a bit sorry for them.

They have had their day in the sun.

Banging on about why unshaved legs on women are 'dirty' but not on men, and not understanding the sexism involved.

And now comparing their looks to a woman broadcaster in some weird way? Presumably because they're annoyed by JHB?

It just comes across as hackneyed and a bit passé.

It's certainly not feminist if IW claims to be a feminist.

Being a woman doesn’t make you a feminist

Not sure why any trans women feels they can talk on behalf of women

Even if there is the acceptance of trans woman being real women their experiences in life are not the same as a females

Are they going to hijack the word female too

Doesn’t surprise me

Male entitlement loud and clear
