Another met policeman convicted, this one for voyeurism. Disturbingly he was based in the Met Police’s Sapphire unit. I would be feeling massively violated if I was a victim with a detailed statement held by that unit and would be wondering if he had had access to it EnvyAngry

What a surprise. As we know, some men will go to any lengths to access women and children's bodies.

It doesn't state clearly that he's been thrown out of the police force though the use of the past tense in reference to his career implies that he has. I hope so but it's not something I would take for granted any more

Having been a user of the Sapphire unit, this is really, really sad. At the most vulnerable point in your adult life.

I was interviewed by females however, I wonder what role he held.

Is this the same case that was in the news recently, or another different case, does anyone know?

AssassinatedBeauty · 14/07/2021 18:46

Oh, it's another case. This was the case I had seen before -

Because abusive men hardly ever try to access vulnerable spaces or enter certain careers so they can access vulnerable individuals.....do they.......

What's worrying about this one is it's a unisex changing rooms at a workplace, with only cubicles with gaps underneath - how crap is that?

The excuses this guy had though - he just happened to put his phone on the floor of the changing room, and then just happened to completely wipe his phone to factory setting when he got home Hmm.

It doesn't say whether he got convicted? Does anyone know?

Mulletsaremisunderstood · 14/07/2021 18:55

Oh no, he got off, never mind Angry.

He is still a serving police officer - as confirmed by this Met police news item

It looks like they were staying in mixed sex police accommodation whilst on a course.
