...and preferred to use they/them pronouns, would HRH titles be changed to TRH? If it were a future monarch, would Her/His Majesty be changed to Their Majesty for everything? As in 'Their Majesty's Revenue and Customs' and 'Their Majesty's Treasury'?

You mean Hazza hasn’t yet? Give him time.

It'll be one of his kids. By the age of 3.5.

I don't normally get involved in HM threads but it's the only "ultimate victim" box they've not yet ticked. It won't be Hazza though because he relies heavily on the Prince, just call me Harry moniker and can't really do away with the Prince title..unless he becomes "formerly known as Prince" but that's already been taken 😉.

If that happened, they could be just RH instead of HRH. Could start a trend.

Which would make the present monarch M.

Don't know but the tabloids would spontaneously combust.

I'm more intrigued by the old line of succession... (before girls got equal sucession rights 10ish years ago). Could Anne move above Edward by legally changing her sex?

Under current law changing gender doesn't affect the rules on descent of peerages i.e. a peerage that can only be inherited by sons cannot be inherited by a daughter even if she gets a GRC. I wonder if the same is true of the royal succession.
BriocheForBreakfast · 03/07/2021 09:04

As Chersftozenface says.

The rules of primogeniture, where first born son inherits, are not applicable where first born child who is female transitions to male.

BriocheForBreakfast · 03/07/2021 09:06

Suggests that TM are not really considered M.

I wouldn't be too surprised if his happened! And then Oprah will do another interview where they whinge about how unsupportive the UK/Royal Family is about their child's preferred gender and that's why moving to California gave them "freedom".

George may want to identify out of the silly outfits, I wouldn't blame him.

Zandathepanda · 03/07/2021 22:48

I think the Queen suits ‘M’!

Bellevu · 03/07/2021 22:48

They'd find greater acceptance than introducing the suggestion of an ethnic minority into the Royal family.

Quel surprise, eh!

For some reason, even after the change in the rules of succession, Princess Anne has retained her old place behind Andrew and Edward. I think that the change to the succession only affected members of the family not yet born.
