Do we need a statistics and research studies resource thread?

Following on from the question someone asked earlier about the source of the quoted trans suicide risk, is it worth us having a separate thread for people to refer back to that links to reputable sources backing up or debunking the various stats that get thrown around in the trans rights debate? As well as the previously mentioned stats, I'm also thinking of things like the "8 out of 10 kids with gender dysphoria desist at puberty", the outcome of the Tavistock's own research that they published just after the initial Keira Bell hearings, the fact check debunking of the trans murder stats, the MOJ sex offender statistics, and the various bits of research relating to sports.

I think some of this stuff is already in the "Break It Down For Me" thread, so it might be a bit of a duplication of effort, but having something a bit more focussed to refer back to could be helpful. What do you think?

I think it might be useful if someone was able to go through the "Break It Down For Me" thread, pick out the relevant links to studies and stats and add a new post within the same thread that lists all these links you mention. Sort of a summary of the most important / key info. They could be categorised by topic - children, sport, prison, myths debunked etc.

Every now and again, a new summary can be posted within the thread that copies and pastes the previous one but adds in new info from the messages that were posted since then.

Does that description make sense? Maybe others prefer the info to be in the form of a separate thread. I'm not too bothered if it's within the same thread or a separate one, but a post that summarises key info would be great and it would be useful if the summary was regularly copied forward and updated as necessary. I hate trawling through individual messages in a lengthy thread to find something. Summaries are good.

It needs a concerted effort, probably some drafting, and then a final version.

I don't know how that would be done here but it must be feasible.
