Scotsman: 150+ Scottish Greens demand repeal of prostitution act

In amongst the usual bilge about not going into coalition with the SNP because they are "dangerously radicalised" to be transphobic, some Scottish Greens are also demanding the Scottish Government "repeal the Prostitution Act of 2007, which criminalised the sale of sex in public because of an “over-prevalence of the trans community amongst people who sell sex, due to housing issues, lack of employment possibilities and social discrimination”."

I thought this was an interesting take. Is there any evidence in the UK that this is true?

Isn’t kind of ironic that GC people are accused by left wing parties of being funded by the USA right wing religious faction and yet it seems to us that the left wing UK parties are basing policies on US data and critical theory which according to GC opinion has little relevance to the UK cultural, political and historical context and is causing untold harm to our society and institutions…
