I wonder what the Suffragettes would make of this

Women accused of hate for wearing, sharing or displaying Suffragette symbols and colours. I've been wondering what the suffragettes would make of today's situation where a female with suffragette colours or symbols is accused of hate by a male.

@ Stumbledin posed this question (in another thread)

"I wonder what the Suffragettes would make of this

"Remember when Linda Bellos was accused of being transphobic for wearing the suffragette colours in court?!

It does make you wonder that anything that is a positive emblem of women fighting to women's rights is immediately seized on and said to be transphobic.

It wont be long before showing images of Suffragettes marching will be said to be intimidatory."

What the suffragettes said 100 years ago:
“The true militant suffragette is an epitome of the determination of women to possess their own souls” – Emily Davison.

"I know that women, once convinced that they are doing what is right, that their rebellion is just, will go on, no matter what the difficulties, no matter what the dangers, so long as there is a woman alive to hold up the flag of rebellion" - Emmeline Pankhurst

“Remember the dignity of your womanhood. Do not appeal, do not beg, do not grovel. Take courage, join hands, stand besides us, fight with us.” - Christabel Pankhurst

"Men make the moral code and they expect women to accept it. They have decided that it is entirely right and proper for men to fight for their liberties and their rights, but that it is not right and proper for women to fight for theirs" – Emmeline Pankhurst

“Courage calls to courage everywhere, and its voice cannot be denied" - Millicent Fawcett

I didn't realise this and I am horrified women are accused of hate for wearing Suffragette symbols or colours. When I was in school, we barely touched on powerful females in history and never in detail, but the Suffragette's were mentioned, in good light and they sacrificed a lot for us. How have we gone from that is the brief gist to it is hateful?!
They would be horrified and bewildered as to how we have come to this, as am I.

I absolutely love this:
“The true militant suffragette is an epitome of the determination of women to possess their own souls” – Emily Davison.
