Parma violets are absolute gak. There was a fashion for parma violet flavoured gin at one point which was just awful.

That's reminded me that someone got me to try the new Refreshers chocolate - my public service announcement is to say don't do it! It's revolting.

Someone upthread mentioned jazzies - now those are nice.

My fave cocktail is Aviation - it's Parma violet flavoured. Fabulous

Oh yes Woolies pick n mix. That brings back memories of Saturday afternoon down the High Street with my friends.
Was it Our Price where you could go listen to new singles on massive headphones ? That wouldn't be allowed now in our post Covid world.

Oooh, that's reminded me about a cocktail bar I used to go to (before it burned down in a mysterious fire) which did a range of sweet shop cocktails, each of which was served with the relevant sweetie on the lip of the glass. My favourite was a Berrylicious which was essentially an alcoholic, fizzy Ribena.

Even my child wouldn’t eat the refreshers chocolate. It is nasty!

I always buy dark chocolate bars with little violet flavoured midget gem type things in them at Toulouse airport for ds (or did before lockdown when I used to go there often) who loves Parma violets. Needs to be consumed in small portions.

It's funny, too, I was just at a darts match in my swimsuit the other day, thinking 'gosh, wish these feminists would lay off, I'm just here holding my sign up and that Andrew Dworking is looking daggers at me.'

I believe supermarkets have stopped pick n mix, as it is not considered "covid secure".

You can still get it at the cinema, which is great.
