God, the hyperbole on that Twitter thread. Trans people will die if female people get to speak . . .

I know @GCAcademic, and the usual claims that if you support womens rights you want trans people to be burned at the stake. I only paraphrase slightly!!

I made the mistake of asking a reasonable question on Twitter. Never again . Talk about a pile on. I was disappointed because the person I questioned is a very macho commentator on TV. Could not believe what
happened after that. I was even accused of having dementia. I won't ask anyone anything now!

Let's hope this is the good news we have been waiting for and allows for rational discussions, though I am sceptical of that happening.
