Brady is on the independent review into gender Identity services for children.
Although judging by his inability to know what a woman is, he's unlikely to recognise a child when he sees one, so his contributions may be severely limited

I would have thought a Transwoman who has had genital surgery would need to see someone who specialises in that, most likely the surgeon who did the procedure. It wouldn’t be within the specialist training of a gynaecologist to deal with pathology arising from that because it’s not a vagina.
It may well be appropriate for a transman who has had for example a hysterectomy to see a gynaecologist and in fact as a junior doctor working in gynaecology at the time I did admit a young transman who had surgical complications from their hysterectomy although admittedly that was years ago.
One of the biggest issues is what happens to access to healthcare when someone still has the anatomy/physiology/pathology of their birth sex but their NHS records say the opposite sex.

Just for anyone interested, the transcript is now available here:

Here's a little extract, from Dr Harriet Hutchinson, Community Organiser, Action for Trans Health Durham:

...there is no way of proving your gender to somebody.

The idea of having to prove your gender is very reductive. It forces trans people to conform to stereotypes in order to receive a diagnosis, and then, of course, receive criticism for perpetuating gender stereotypes.

And therein is the problem - the unprovable, the indescribable (without reference to stereotypes) and therefore pretty useless concept of 'gender' (especially when it comes to medicine and the law).
