If you’ve got a bit of time, here’s a useful lockdown project.

The Women and Equality Select Committee received over 2,000 responses to their call for evidence on reform of the Gender Recognition Act.
Normally they would expect perhaps one or two hundred responses to an inquiry, so this is extraordinary.
We want to analyse the evidence they have received: to show the patterns of opinion, argument and evidence, and hold the committee accountable for listening to everybody in their final report.
Analysing the responses shines more sunlight on the debate
This is a job that can be done quickly by lots of people doing a little bit. We are asking people who want to help to work on five responses each.
Email [email protected] asking for five responses to analyse.
We will reply within 24 hours with links to five individual responses and an online survey.
Your job is to read each response and record information the summary details (who wrote the response, how did they answer the questions, did they supply opinion or evidence etc...) using the survey tool. It should take about 10 to 30 minutes to analyse each one. You don't have to do the whole batch at once, but you should be able to do it in a week easily.
This project was developed by Maya Forstater and is being managed by Colin Wright. The data will be made available in an open source format so anyone can use it, and Sex Matters will write up the findings into a report for policy makers and for the public.
