And rarely are they taken off the streets at night. Most murders occur in the women's own home so, asinine advice to stay indoors after dark is barely even relevant to most dangers to women.
It seems to me that the media has somehow forgotten all of this information and is acting as if Sarah's murder is unusual. Perhaps it is because her murderer had no relationship with her that makes it unusual. Has the more common murder of women become mundane to them? Too common to report on much of the time?
I have stewarded reclaim the night marches in the past but they're not addressing the most common danger to women.
I don't know what the point of my post is. I guess i'm a bit frustrated by the peddling of stranger danger when it's intimate partner danger that is by far the most risky encounter....
