Ferring

Following on from yesterday's Baroness Barker debacle, I have been looking into Ferring.

  1. Ferring Pharmaceuticals market the puberty blocker Triptorelin, and have put money into PB trials (www.transgendertrend.com/puberty-blockers-safe/)
  1. Ferring have made several substantial donations to a political party, namely the Liberal Democrats - see attached.
  1. Ferring president Frederick Paulson (on record as having said 'Bribing politicians isn't really a priority for me' - www.24heures.ch/vaud-regions/milliardaire-frederik-paulsen-sort-silence/story/26261248).... but has recently been confirmed as having made questionable donations to two Swiss politicians (www.swissinfo.ch/eng/politics/transparency_geneva-expenses-scandal-sparks-calls-for-more-transparency/44517324)

Not sure what this all adds up to, but something smells....

It has to be 'follow the money' really as there is no other logical explanation.

Soooo, you don't mean the little village in West Sussex. The one with the large proportion of pensioners?

Alicethruthelookingglass · 26/02/2021 21:33

What is that saying,? Like, "there is no one so blind as one who is being paid not to see", or something like that. I'm in the US but I didn't fail to see the stupidest apologetics emanating from the LibDems yesterday.

TheFleegleHasLanded · 26/02/2021 22:55

When the leadership candidates (Davey and Moran) were interviewed on LBC by Iain Dale they both denied any knowledge of these donations. £1.3 million pounds is a huge amount of money to lose down the back of the fucking sofa.......

It clearly buys you a lot of words in the House of Lords though eh?

I thought it was going to be able clinical differences between ferritin levels for some groups.

I've learned something (disappointing) tho'.

PamDenick · 27/02/2021 08:16

IF you're saying what I think you're saying, than the whole capture has been all about the money?

The Emperor really does have no clothes.

dyslek · 27/02/2021 08:36

If its descovered that poltiticians 'just beeeee KIND' ferver has been fueled by cash, then I dont think prison sentences should be ruled out.

Xanthangum · 27/02/2021 10:15

the whole capture has been all about the money

The push is the money. The pull is the blue-hair-be-kind people.

And everyone afraid of stating the obvious for fear of cancel culture.

This week and the Lords bravery will echo around politics for a long long time...

But what is the point?

I mean, if the act of bribing a political party means that they end up with less power, not more? wasn't that just a big waste of money? And possibly criminal?

Xanthangum · 27/02/2021 16:04

less power

I think the gamble was that the world would bend to fit the TRA viewpoint.

They didn't know the hidden power of mums (and all the other non-mum-identifying vipers Smile)

... and now the Lib Dem party conference rejects a motion that rejects the use of puberty blockers for young children.

The motion called for:

  • The party to back the Bell ruling on puberty blockers and to oppose any attempt to overturn it by legal or legislative means.
  • Care for young people with gender dysphoria that addresses individual circumstances, quality of life, long-term outcomes and fully informed consent.
  • A psychosocial approach as first line of treatment; with funding for training at local tier 1 and tier 2 levels, e.g. CAMHS, to ensure development and provision of accessible high quality therapeutic services for gender dysphoric children.
  • Discussion of these issues free from political, ideological or financial influences.

but...

It was rejected. Why?

As there is currently an ongoing process to Appeal the Court decision (Conference Notes C) and an independent review (Conference Notes F) it would not be appropriate at this time for the party to set policy based on an issue which is currently going through the courts and an independent review.

Wow. I hope the LibDems think it was worth selling children’s healthy futures — and their own reputation.
