This woman seems like a pretty decent person, right?
Here's a recent news story where she's standing up for immigrants and asylum seekers: www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/human-rights-body-criticises-refusal-to-give-driver-permit-to-woman-in-direct-provision-1.4170884
Here's an interview where she talks about her doctoral research on conflict and resolution in the Congo, and her experience as a social worker: www.herstory.ie/today/2020/2/4/salome-mbugua
The organisation she founded, AkiDwA -The Migrant Women’s Network, which has been running for 20 years (akidwa.ie/about-us/#history), have an event coming up that celebrates African languages: www.eventbrite.ie/e/international-mother-language-day-event-my-language-my-heritage-my-pride-tickets-138835289087?aff=ebdsoporgprofile
The organisation that were supposed to be co-hosting, Rooted in Africa-Ireland (founded 2020 epale.ec.europa.eu/en/blog/tackling-racism-through-adult-education) have pulled out because Dr Mbugua was recently confirmed as a speaker for this International Women's Day event: us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_09S0lFN6S-CedPmw33pMbg
From the event description: "The Irish Women’s Lobby is a coalition of organisations and women whose main aim is to provide political and media representation to women and girls in Ireland, highlighting the need to advocate for various female-specific issues, including acknowledging and seeking to end male violence against women and girls."
The Irish Women's Lobby have been denounced as "an organisation who's [sic] values threaten and endanger the lives and safety of transgender members of our society"

Much applause for backing out of an event that focuses on cultural diversity and inclusion, because of this tainted association, and because a black migrant woman is scheduled to speak on violence against girls and women, a topic she has researched extensively.
And somehow this isn't 'white feminism'?
