Sex attacker says he was making a political point

This story was reported earlier today on the BBC but they've removed the accused's justification for the attacks — that he was making a political point when he attacked 12 women and girls because he doesn't believe that women should wear enticing clothes in public. He rode up behind women, grabbed their bums and called them whores.

Explaining his behaviour, Smith said: "It was not a sexual thing. I was making a political statement about women wearing leggings or something where you can see their pants. I think it's a form of sexual harassment around men.'

I can't think of anything reasonable to say.

Incel.

But not a peodo incel.

Got it.

fuck this world. I'm done.

CaraDuneRedux · 17/02/2021 09:38

Though of course he bloody well should be ashamed of assaulting women, though he seems completely unrepentant of that, only embarrassed about the girls.

I doubt he's embarrassed about the girls, merely embarrassed someone called him a paedo.

Yes, terrifyingly likely to escalate, I fear.

TheSockMonster · 17/02/2021 09:49

I would have to add I would never do this again after this political statement

Well that’s ok then.

WendyTestaburger · 17/02/2021 09:54

The political statement is something like "Women are not worthy of humanity in their own right; they belong to men".

This incel creep is clearly at the more dangerous end of the misogynist spectrum. But he's far from alone in making that statement.

BreatheAndFocus · 17/02/2021 10:01

A political point??? What a pathetic defence!

So an arsonist can claim he was making the point that houses can be burnt down hence it’s their own fault; a burglar was making a political point that having windows allows them to be broken and things taken - yep, all the fault of the victims and jolly well done to the criminals making ‘political points’.

It’s not his job to police women’s clothing. It’s not anyone’s job. Who would possibly think it was?

VampireTheBuffetSlayer · 17/02/2021 10:02

Wft are "enticing clothes"? Does he mean comfy clothes like leggings? Damn these women for having bottoms.

CorianderBee · 17/02/2021 10:04

Perhaps someone should repeatedly kick him in the balls as a political statement?

After all, men shouldn't be flaunting their penises in those sewn together tight skirts they call 'jeans'.

CranberriesChoccyAgain · 17/02/2021 10:26

"I absolutely did not wish for that bit (touching underage girls) to happen. I'm incredibly sorry that happened.

"They looked much older as they walked down the street. I was riding down the street and did not take time to look at them."

Looked at them long enough to determine their clothing/arse was enticing to him though, huh. What a fucking creep. Just one of a long line of misogynists who see women and girls as objects, body parts, and not actual human beings.

ArabellaScott · 17/02/2021 10:27

Well, what a fucking vile creep.

I hope the girls are okay. This kind of thing can sound so ludicrous when reported after the fact, but I imagine being on the receiving end could be really scary.

ArabellaScott · 17/02/2021 10:29

Just noting how it is a relief that we are able (I think) to say quite baldly and bluntly that this man is a fucking vile creep. Women need to be able to hear about, recognise and call out this type of behaviour for what it is, when it happens.

CranberriesChoccyAgain · 17/02/2021 10:32

Forgot to add, he's basically saying to women, how dare you show me what you have to offer but not actually offer it to meeeeeeee. Never crossed his mind that women aren't there to please or displease him. He is irrelevant to them and he can't stand that.

AtlasPine · 17/02/2021 10:32

The only good thing is that when I was a teen, it wouldn’t even have been seen as an offence. We have come some way at least.

Hideous man.

despairenting · 17/02/2021 11:31

To be honest, I'm surprised (and glad) it's being taken seriously.
