Dame Diana Johnson's Sexual Exploitation Bill (which, if passed, would enact the Nordic Model) is due a second reading this month. There are notes to help you write in support to your MP here: www.nordicmodelnow.org
I've written to mine, but in the course if my research I checked Diana Johnson's Wikipedia page. There's a list of organisations who oppose her, but no list of those supporting. I thought I'd update the wiki, but it's actually really hard to find anyone on her side. Care are openly in support. But there's nothing at all from the Fawcett Society, for example.
Is this another example of institutional capture? Or another example of women being afraid to speak out in case they bring the storm down upon their heads? I really intended not to start the new year angry, but...
(I should add that this is a Ten Minute Rule Bill and won't become law, but I wanted to flag it to my MP in any case. These things are useful for gathering and identifying parliamentary and societal support. Apologies if I've missed a recent thread and am repeating.)
