A vote for Labour = a vote against women's rights??

I've been giving some thought about who women can vote for if they are concerned about protecting women's rights, and feel confident that the party will support safe spaces, ensure more protection for women prisoners, women's groups, etc etc.

I don't think I could vote, in all good conscience, for Labour again. So many examples of supporting trans activists at the expense of supporting women.

Dawn Butler, attacking what she described as outdated legal measures designed to protect single-sex facilities "Labour will remove outdated language from the Equalities Act. And there is no way these spaces will be permitted to discriminate against trans people".

Rebecca Long-Bailey, Angela Rayner and Dawn Butler backing a trans rights charter that calls on Labour to expel “transphobic” members and describes campaigns including Woman’s Place UK as “trans-exclusionist hate groups”.

Now Eddie Izzard has decided to become a Labour MP, and bringing with his all his hate filled vitriol towards women (in my humble opinion).

I think Tony Blair has it spot on in the interview below, which I'm copying as an interesting read:
www.spectator.co.uk/article/labour-s-trans-rights-problem

I can't find too much information on where Conservatives stand on the issue though (but is this deliberate?)

Who can feminists genuinely vote for?

staff screening correspondence and deliberately not passing on anything about women's rights to the MP
I guess this is the one redeeming feature of Twitter? Address the MP directly and she/he will see the response even if a staffer wrote it

Nobody looks at spoilt ballots. They’re only counted to make sure that the total number of ballot papers in each box tallies to the total number cast. If you want politicians or candidates to know how you feel about a particular topic, you have to write to them directly. Yes, lots of replies will come from their staff instead of directly from them, but their staff will give the MP a briefing about what topics they’re being contacted about. But - as per my earlier post - there is no call to action on MPs at the moment. There are no debates or votes on trans rights for them to express an opinion through, which is why most will keep quiet.

MPs Twitter is mostly monitored by staff as well. And because it’s very skewed in terms of demographics towards younger, urban and educated, it’s a poor reflection of what voters as a whole are thinking, so Twitter comments aren’t always seriously regarded. Also, no way of telling if the person who’s @ed the MP is a constituent or not, so unlikely to get a response or even much notice. Always write directly and keep writing if you don’t think you’re being heard.

If you're someone who has lost faith in the Labour party because of the likes of a Tony Blair cough Iraq War cough and Jeremy Corbyn cough antisemitism cough etc. why on earth would you consider joining the Conservatives party?! 😂

How do you so easily feel inclined to join the Conservatives over women's rights when the Conservatives have a long and ugly history of policies and rhetoric that attack black and brown people's rights, antisemitism that is much deeper and darker than the antisemitism of LP, working people's rights, the NHS etc. If you don't give a f about those vulnerable people why do you demand for others to give an f about your rights?

I think we've all gone insane.

It's astounding to me that you would refer to an article written by Tony Blair who lead hundreds of British soldiers to die and become seriously injured in Iraq. Many returned home and were abandoned without care or benefits to help them. Not to mention the thousands of Iraqi civilians killed, including thousands of innocent women. Not to mention the millions of refugees. Including hundreds and thousands of...... Women.

Why are we always so happy to settle for the bare minimum from our "leaders". It's so bloody tedious.

My plea: Let you daddas Tony & Jeremy go. For the love of God.
