Haven’t read that since the 80s, might reread it before reading your post as it’s been so long. That was a great set of sci-fi books

Tbh as a young (at the time) female sci fi reader I was just sooo happy to get a set that centred women Grin maybe as I have free time over the next few months I should revisit them all and see what I think now.

I did re-read the Female Man by Joanna Russ recently. It felt a bit dated and I had to concentrate almost as much as first time through but provides interesting views on alternate societies

Didn't do much for me.. on the other hand Ursula le Guin's work is still very readable and ground-breaking eg Left Hand of Darkness

Agree re Ursula le Guin ‘Left Hand of Darkness’ is superb on every level
