I know it's not what Endometriosis UK meant there, but I do think (as a bloke) that "menstrual wellbeing education" should be given to boys as well as girls.

As someone on there said ‘what happened to the plain English campaign’

I emailed them today regarding their Facebook post, expressing my disappointment in them for not directly addressing GIRLS as well as "young people" and enquired as to why, after 21 hours, the post hadn't been updated or any of the valid concerns addressed in the comments. Got this reply so far, little bit lame.

"Thank you for raising these comments and your concerns with us. We are a small team and therefore social media comments do not get checked or regulated as much as we would like them to be, so we are grateful that you have brought this to our attention by email.

Our CEO and Communications Manager have now finished for the Christmas break, so I wanted to write to you to acknowledge receipt of your email and to say that someone will be in touch in the new year.
Best wishes,"

This boils my piss. Cases of endo in men are vanishingly rare - only 20 as i recall compared to 10% of all women.

If you really want to get more annoyed ( and i do not recommend it!)

OH MY GOD. Thank you for sharing, @DresdenChina. This is fairly typical of how women's health is treated so it's not surprising but it is enraging.

@Genesis1v27 agree 100% - there is so much ignorance from men on this topic because we treat it as a 'women's issue'. But to have men understand it a bit more would be so beneficial to all kinds of relationships, both personal and professional. Male managers not understanding women needing bathroom breaks is a big thing that comes up over and over.

Young people regardless of gender need to know.

Which ones then...?

Oh ffs Angry

The cognitive dissonance is incredible. How can you raise awareness if something whilst simultaneously making it difficult to identify who it even affects Hmm
