Rubies rubyshines.com/

Rubies produce clothing for 'trans girls who want to shine'. One of their most promoted products is this bikini bottom: 'If your little rockstar is looking for a nice front view, this no-nonsense bikini bottom will give her support in all the right places. It magically turns a pointy poker into a dainty dune. No tucking required.'

Available from age 4, they'll send you a free pair if you can't afford to buy one. So many satisfied customers, including a mum whose four year old twins are thrilled with theirs! Gives their children a confidence boost, helps them hide their unwanted parts.

Why aren't these people being investigated for child abuse?

Ew, that is some creepy diverting right there!

The site linked is vile, but the comment about not visiting because of Canada's 'deeply disturbing' politics is a hysterical overreaction. If you spend any time in this forum, you'll know that the US, Ireland, UK, Australia and others are all having similar pushes of this ideology.

Hysterical. Love me a bit of misogyny on a Friday

Indeed, Clymene.

Things in Canada do seem to be taking an extreme turn. But hey, it's an hysterical overreaction to be concerned about that.

These products are grim. It's got red flag stamped all over it.

crunchermuncher · 20/11/2020 18:45

Women, know your place and stop overreacting! Hmm

TweeBree · 20/11/2020 18:50

Then things in the US, Ireland, Australia and the UK have also taken an 'extreme turn'. Overreact away.

I don't. Which is why I'm a long time poster on these forums. Acting like Canada is an extreme outlier is ridiculous and uninformed.

Why is feeling strongly about something 'overreacting'?

Are men with an opinion also overreacting?

Maybe you're right about that. The site selling packers for little girls is based in the US. Maybe we should just avoid the whole of N. America.

My web browser told me the transkids.biz site was dodgy (well, I knew that). Archive link here if you really want to see what they're selling.

Just had a look at the site. All they seem to sell is a couple of pieces of weird swimwear and a lot of POD t-shirts. Looking at the site itself, and the amazing number of positive customer reviews, I’d say this whole thing was pretty much a fiction and if they’ve sold any you could probably count the number on your fingers.

Duckwit · 21/11/2020 09:53

The reviews..... 'My 6 year old daughter who is transgender.... My 8 year old daughter.... My 7 year old daughter is so much more confident wearing these.... My 9 year old daughter loves the smooth look and can finally go swimming..... The only suggestion is glitter, pink, ponies...'

Either most of these reviews are fake or there is a serious fucking problem out there.

HecatesCats · 21/11/2020 10:30

I'm really hoping they're mostly made up by the company

MondayYogurt · 21/11/2020 12:51

The owner has posted on Reddit about the store and been recommended Facebook groups. I don't think it's that far fetched to believe that a niche product marketed to the 8000(?) members of a FB group might receive this many positive reviews.

MondayYogurt · 21/11/2020 12:56

Also there are plenty of photos of the recipients on the company insta. It's easier to believe this isn't happening, but it really is.

PixelatedLunchbox · 21/11/2020 13:05

@SmallPug

What the actual fucking fuck is this?! I can’t believe I am still shocked. How are we ever going to row back from this complete madness.
We aren't nor can we. The pickle has left the sandwich. The world has gone mad.
MindTheMinotaur · 21/11/2020 15:10

Interesting post on this site, some time ago how parental abuse by mother's often took the form of policing and controlling their children's bodies. I often think of that.

notyourhandmaid · 21/11/2020 20:26

This is so sinister. Referring to 'unwanted' body parts... and the faux-cutesy language. Ugh.
