Okay, I could just search for this, but as I like to think I'm normally quite well-informed, I can't be the only one, so here's a chance for someone from Ireland to let maybe many on the board know something they might be wondering.

Who is the "Countess" that Irish feminists are frequently referring to in slogans and group and user names?

Someone from Ireland please tell us about this woman. I'm assuming from the frequency of the references there must be some inspiring story here.
