A brief mention of self-id on BBC 2 'Politics Live' 21 Sept

I was surprised to see this brought up on the BBC. It was just a rushed few minutes at the end of the programme about the expected forthcoming government announcement. Tim Loughton Conservative MP said that self id was something which affected other people and could not just be decided by 'the transgender community'. It particularly affected women and as a former minister for children he was concerned about the effect on them. A former (Conservative) government adviser Salma.... mentioned that there were technical legal issues, I presume a reference to the legal muddle in legislation. Did the Labour person recite the usual 'We are committed to trans rights'? I can't remember.
Sorry I don't have access to the iPlayer to post a link.
