According to the Standard, Robbie Coltrane is rather fed up of the easily offended

@Cupoftea1234

Yes, Robbie just gave a lesson to Emma, Rupert and and Daniel on how to respond to the twitter mob. No pandering, no mansplaining, no parroting meaningless mantras. And no throwing anyone under the bus for woke points. Straight talking at its finest.
Too old to give a toss what they say maybe. Though I recall him on Live Aid where he auctioned a beloved vintage car and donated the proceeds- ' I shouldn't fucking have to do this ya know!'

I notice there have been no attempts so far to cancel Hagrid - nor were there any attempts to trans him before, which is odd. The character canonically does keep the fragments of his broken wand in a pink umbrella, after all. That would have seemed like a golden invitation for the gender fandom to "trans head canon" Hagrid, to me.

But I suppose Hagrid isn't sexy enough. I've noticed the Tumblr kiddos prefer to trans the likes of Harry, Luna, Draco, and Ginny in their art.

(Not Hermione, oddly enough . . . I wonder why that is?)

Good on Robbie Coltrane for speaking his mind

NearlyGranny · 15/09/2020 22:01

Hermione knows too much. And isn't afraid to speak up.😉

But Hagrid won't get cancelled. Robbie Coltrane dressed as a woman in Nuns on the Run. HE'S CLEARLY TRANS!!!!
