The Eve Appeal 'inclusive' language

Sorry, my previous thread got deleted for use of wrong kind of language Confused. I thought I'll start a new one for those who didn't see it. National gynae cancer charity The Eve Appeal posted on their fb about the whole 'people with cervixes' issue, defending how it doesn't exclude women and is a way forward.
I'm bummed, my mother threw away her smear test letters, my grandmother died of cervical (or ovarian) cancer- I don't even know exactly as she was too ashamed to talk about it! How is it helping women? I'm just so disappointed. When big charities like this can't even say 'woman' we might as well remove it from dictionaries.

From their fb
"The American Cancer Society recently revised its guidance on cervical screening. Why is this important? Largely because it cleared up the considerable confusion around two key areas: the age groups for whom screening is advised (25 and over) and the need to still attend even if you’ve had the HPV vaccination.

"But that’s not why it got attention." Eve CEO, Athena Lamnisos wrote in The Telegraph. The new guidance got a lot of media attention last week for its use of inclusive language. Athena wrote about why we need to "address every barrier, be fierce about inclusion and not push groups with the greatest barriers further away from services." and how we need to make sure that important and accurate public health messaging doesn't get lost, because "every single case of cancer that can be prevented, should be."
