Does anyone know anything about SRE provided using Christopher Winter Project resources?

So we understand that school are planning to use resources from the Christopher Winter Project next year and I can’t seem to find out a great deal about them. I’m particularly curious as ‘gender identity’ is referred to in the syllabus and I would like to understand more about this. Does anyone know anything about them?

Haven't heard of them OP. BUT a quick look at their online presence suggests a professional, non lobby group approach.
There's no apparent misogyny / hating of women, a reference to challenging porn, references to SRE that I would expect to see from an educational group - safeguarding, consent, age appropriate materials and (refreshingly) an out of date social media presence. In other words they look to be professional educators and not one of the porn soaked sexual politics groups currently seeking to exploit children in schools.
I could of course be wrong - maybe someone else will know more than me?

That would certainly be refreshing, if true!

Thank you. I did look at their website, but all resources are member only. I didn’t see any affiliations with anyone either though.

Our school uses this and it has been all good so far. I asked school how they were teaching trans issues andthey mentioned transgendertrend so I feel like they are going for the evidence-based route rather than the stonewall style...

Our primary school uses them; they have been resoundingly sensible for years, but I was shown a recommebded book list which I believe was from CWP which included a trans inclusive section. The only book I remember is ‘10,000 dresses’, which is heinous.

Also our primary’s recent SRE has gone big on identity politics, which whilst at the thin end of the wedge, is a huge problem imo.

I think most of these pages are directly from CWP

Did anyone ever find out anything more about them? They were referenced in a recent interview by Tanya Carter of Safe Schools Alliance but I can’t find out anything more on the SSA website.

@LiterallyProblematic I’m interested that you posted that as that’s a school I’m looking to swap my child to so any feedback about what it’s like would be appreciated. I had a quick look at the SRE resources they have online and year 3 has “gender and identity” (but not “gender identity”) on the syllabus, which set warning bells ringing.

Hello, my kids primary school appears to use CW rse materials. The rse curriculum gives very little away about this material. Did u manage to find any out please?

AnnunciataZ · 05/12/2021 12:12

It seems that most SRE providers are not very forthcoming with their materials on their websites. I can understand that they don't want to give it away for free but CWP have next to nothing.
