Sly edit on BBC article

I was reading a twitter feed that referenced a BBC article. Here's a screenshot:

The bit I was interested in said: "... this discrimination extends to transphobic preferences in the dating world: from cisgender gay men not wanting to date trans men, to the routine fetishisation of trans women"

I was interested as at last it seems that gay men are being told to lick manfanny, just as lesbians have for so long been instructed to suck ladydick.

When I looked up the article: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-53181342 to read more I could see that the passage has been removed. I couldn't see anything that said the article had been edited.

On the twitter feed where I originally saw the extract there were lots of TRA comments saying it was unfair that this 'extremist' view was being highlighted. Is this why the BBC did a sneaky edit? They don't want daylight shone on what TRAs actually believe?

I read the orginal article. It was definitely there and the BBC should not have edited it out. It was a quote and it is totally reflective of that person (and others) opinions.

To have removed it indicates a bias that the bbc should not have. I guess it would have meant that the cotton and boxer ceilings are not able to be denied anymore.

Yet more evidence of the BBC's partisan agenda and its penchant for 'editing' problematic news.

The Memory Hole department is in the picture editing business as well. This speaks volumes about the accuracy of its reporting.
