Surely, midwives who think it wrong to say 'woman' should call themselves 'midspouses'?

Given that 'wife' is the Old English word for 'woman', they have a wonderful range from which to choose what they should properly call themselves. They could be:

Midmenstruators
Miduterus-havers
Midnot-men
