LGB Badges?

CustardCreamTeaDunker · 14/06/2020 15:19

Does anyone know where I can buy badges sending a message I support LBG rights, maybe a pen?
I don’t really want to support stonewall, they’ve thrown LGB under the T bus.

I did look, but couldn’t find any merchandise. I’m possibly looking in the wrong place, do you have a link?

I'm sure there will be LGB alliance merchandise on sale soon. Perhaps they need volunteers to design and organise the webshop?

The people involved seem to be having a lot of extra work thrown at them by the homophobic onslaught that got their two funding pages shut down and forced them to arrange direct donations via their website, as well as constantly fending off libel and slander. I think they also want to ensure that the organisation is protected from infiltrators intent on doing them harm, so they will have to be extra cautious about who they accept help from and how it is carried out.

I just had a quick search - wow, I cannot find LGB badges anywhere. That takeover happened really fast and really effectively, didn't it?

Somewhat surprisingly I did find a few 'lesbian' badges. I'm shocked they haven't been changed to 'genital fetishist'.

People who have businesses that specialize in printing t-shirts tend also to have badge making machines. You could give one of them a try.

Design your own, or ask them to do the graphics for you also.

Wild Womyn Workshop (on Etsy) have a variety of feminist and lesbian badges.

driverkatie552 · 14/06/2020 22:09

eBay and zazzle say the have lgb badges but I'm not entirely sure what wrong with having a t on it unless your transphobic

MouthBreathingRage · 14/06/2020 22:18

@driverkatie552 you know it's not transphobic to support LGB groups. You also know you've just joined MN to be a GF.

driverkatie552 · 14/06/2020 22:23

I've joined mums net to see whether the opinions of my colleagues at the lgbt plus charity I work at are correct and mums net is very transphobic

driverkatie552 · 14/06/2020 22:28

I didn't think there were many lgb groups left I thought they were lgbt plus these days and as a proud member of this community I'm genuinely interested in how supporting trans rights are eroding my right as a gay women

LittleCabbage · 14/06/2020 22:29

Hi @driverkatie552

Do report any transphobia you see, won't you. The vast majority of us prefer calm debate backed up by scientific and medical facts.

FloralBunting · 14/06/2020 22:31

It's better to join a parents forum, predominantly used by women for reasons other than your colleagues telling you the women there are disobedient.

Proud L here. Sexuality is nothing to do with 'gender identity'.

I'd explore making your own, OP.

driverkatie552 · 14/06/2020 22:32

Sounds very civilised indeed so genuine question what have you got agasint the trans community backed up by science and medical evidence obviously

FamilyOfAliens · 14/06/2020 22:34

genuine question
GrinGrinGrin

FloralBunting · 14/06/2020 22:36

Question was about supporting LGB rights. Which are about sexuality, not inner gender feelings. I think you might want to start a new thread to ask your genuine questions.

RuffleCrow · 14/06/2020 22:36

I had chips tonight @driverkatie552, that doesn't make me quiche-phobic or curry-phobic. It just means they're not what I wanted. I think you're Netmums-phobic because you're posting here. Such hateful bigotry. Hmm
