I'm disgusted but not surprised at the horrible comments she is getting in return, but I AM surprised that no one is speaking out against how terrible those comments are. It's OK to threaten violence to a woman if she doesn't uphold the supposed orthodoxy.

I've emailed her in support, and bought the first Cormoran Strike book on Kindle for much more than I usually spend on Kindle books.

And I'm extremely glad that role models like JKR exist for my DCs.

Twitter isn't real, and JKR doesn't live there, so I'm sure she will be fine. I see her as a brave shield maiden, making her quest to post her bold messages to the world, only the message board is in a strange, small country full of screeching wokescolds that pour invective at anyone who draws their ire.

I appreciate her being willing to put her head above the parapet.

I also find it dreadful that we've become so rigid in what a man or a woman can be that anyone who doesn't fit awful restrictive stereotypes has to change gender. A person should be able to be whoever they bloody well like without it affecting their gender.
