Decision: No breach - after investigation

Apologies if already posted, I hadn't seen it here and wondered if I had missed it

Great news. I hadn't seen this before either

I love this part of the finding, the publication was entitled to publish the writer’s opinion that the conviction was unfair and had the effect of chilling freedom of speech.

Hayden doesn't want public comments made about their case unless they are pro Hayden.

Even more chilling than the case itself.

Chrysanthemum5 · 07/05/2020 18:31

Good news I hadn't seen it so thanks for posting

Datun · 07/05/2020 18:37

Excellent news. So that's the mail on Sunday and the spectator?

NotTerfNorCis · 07/05/2020 19:35

Good. Another substance-free complaint brushed aside. Hope we see more of this.

Apollo440 · 07/05/2020 20:00

The bullying doesn't seem to be working anymore. They'll just have to revert to tantrums.

Binterested · 07/05/2020 20:06

Oh no. Poor them.

KaronAVyrus · 08/05/2020 11:56

Hayden really is their own worst enemy.

Thelnebriati · 08/05/2020 12:04

Sometimes all you have to do is take a step back and let things play out, so everyone can see the patterns of behaviour for themselves. Or at least until they can no longer ignore them.

RoyalCorgi · 08/05/2020 12:41

The difficulty is that for a publication like the Spectator, dealing with a complaint takes up time and resource. So even if the ruling goes in their favour (which Hayden probably knew it would), it might make them less inclined to publish articles on Hayden or the trans issue more generally. I don't think it will, because the Spectator have been pretty robust so far, but I'm sure that must be the aim.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/05/2020 12:53

If that's the aim I think Hayden has seriously miscalculated how bloody minded certain papers are. If anything it might make The Spectator more likely to publish those stories.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 08/05/2020 13:13

Excellent news. Hayden really isn't doing themself any favours. The last case drew attention to Hayden's criminal record and now this.

littlbrowndog · 08/05/2020 13:19

It did prawn. 🕷

DrLouiseJMoody · 08/05/2020 14:01

Shame. Perhaps Hayden might want to.put their case on the BBC Big Questions. Except they can't. They wouldn't deal with them either. Kindov what happens when you have an extensive, documented, criminal past.

ElizaCrouch · 08/05/2020 15:37

Oh dear. What a shame ☺️

Maria1921 · 08/05/2020 21:37

This person has dedicated their life to forcing others to waste huge amounts of time, money and energy, for no good reason.

The amount of time wasted by police, courts, judges, etc on just one person who has never once won a single lawsuit brought against anyone (afaik) beggars belief.

This isn't just misogyny; it seems to be a burning hatred for all of humanity. I wonder where that stems from.

Binterested · 08/05/2020 21:48

Who funds all this?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/05/2020 22:59

The funds from the previous case being settled, I'd imagine.
