heavily invested in intersectionality
…. not really. The identity politics movement may historically have had its roots in concepts like intersectionality, but the current political lobby uses it in the same restricted and distorted way it uses the word 'kind' and 'inclusion' and other words perceived as powerful when used to others. There is no respect at all for the intersectionality or understanding the particular needs of any group other than the one the lobby agenda focuses on.
Seeing through the purposeful use of words to sway others without the lobby holding those values or being willing to apply those values to others is one of the many things that made me realise the many issues with the political ideology. Likewise, when the pile on to Nicola starts, as I suspect it will, it will be demonstrated again that reasonable, respectful solutions that meet everyone's needs will not be acceptable to this lobby.
It will always come down to the difference between TWATW - which is a positive, respected thing and those needs should absolutely be met by additional provisions, support, recognition - and TWAW which means that no solution is acceptable but ownership of everything female regardless of the consequences or impact on females.
Once it becomes fully clear to the general public that there is no care or interest in what happens to females as a result, that there is no reciprocation of these values, it will be seen that for some parts of this political lobby negotiation or compromise will never be possible because there will never be an appropriate reciprocal value for the needs, rights and equality of any other group. The only solution can be an imposed boundary to protect the rights of others from being compromised.
