I'm not managing to find much about this organisation, who apparently are in my child's school this week working with the students.

This is their website - it stands for Educational Action Challenging Homophobia which sounds like a very good thing. I haven't had a read of the website yet so will be interested to hear what you think after having a look.

It includes Bi phobia and transphobia in their approach to anti/bullying.

Two points that stand out to me on first sight:

	1. Inspiring schools, academies, colleges and universities to implement policy and procedural change concerning sexual orientation and gender identity issues through Department for Education and PSHE Association endorsed resources, training and consultancy: working with pupils, students, staff and governors

	2. Integrating thirty-four years’ professional experience to inform books and Government commissioned national guidance and training including ‘Safe to Learn’ (DCSF), ‘Inspiring Equality in Education’ and ‘Learn Equality Live Equal’ (DfE), the ‘Reach Teaching Resource’ (National Lottery), the JKP book, “That’s So Gay! Challenging Homophobic Bullying” and currently the complete revision of Wales’s Anti-Bullying Schools’ Guidance ‘Respecting Others’ for its Government

Couldn't keep myself away and have just watched their well-made video on 'What is gender?' Suggest you watch it.

It clearly states that there is such a thing as 'Sex' and biology but has all the usual stuff about gender and doesn't really explore when gender 'identity' clashes with 'sex'. Young people talk about their thoughts and it all seems to be about clothes, make-up, 'hats'. One young person says it's not fixed and that one day, six months down the line, you can change your mind about what gender you are... which is all well and good except if you've started on puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or have had any parts of your body surgically altered.

It doesn't go into the medical transitioning pathway beyond a cursory mention but one of the young people is definitely on that pathway. There are, as you would imagine, some articulate sparky young people in the video and the emphasis seems to be about the importance of Pronouns and not disrespecting someone by misgendering them.

Unsurprisingly it doesn't go into sex-based protections, sex-based exemptions and what happens in the real world when sex and gender collide.
