Trans Crime UK - website resource

Someone posted this on facebook as a recommended source. So thought I would share it here. transcrimeuk.com/

"Trans Crime UK collates media reports of crimes committed by transgender individuals in the UK; currently we are about halfway through publishing several hundred posts and have prioritised collating convictions of individuals from 2016, 2017 and 2018. We emphasize ‘individuals’ here, because we don’t think all males who identify as transgender are criminals in the same way as we don’t consider all men are criminals, despite the disparity in criminal convictions between men and women. The same disparity exists in the cases we’ve collected here; the overwhelming majority of offences have been committed by biological males.

We absolutely recognise that the majority of trans people live law-abiding lives and the individual crime reports documented on this site no more represent all trans people than Fred West or Harvey Weinstein represent all men. But crime is highly gendered, particularly sexual and violent offending, and some scientific studies indicate that a male pattern of criminality is retained among those males who transition to live as trans women. A useful site for when beardy woke blokes/handmaidens are arguing "this never happens".

Especially when looking at state sponsored abuse of through men being locked up in the female prison estate. Bloody criminal that it is already allowed to happen.

Women are entitled to the basic rights of privacy, dignity & safety when locked up by the state. They should not expect to suffer further abuse resulting from very poor decision making.

Also it's useful to break down the stats on how many trans people have been killed as opposed to how many women as since trans day of remembrance the figures from the last decade or so have been misquoted as in the last year or two years so they are inflated and misrepresentative.

I'll have to dig out the resource but the 331 trans people killed is from 2007/8 I think and they that breaks down globally to the about half being in Brazil and also a significant number being involved in prostitution.

The last story on a trans person being murdered was shot in a drive-by and the news coverage gave no reason to link their trans status to a motive.

Looking at the 2019 list is there a reason some people are named twice under different categories if they were only convicted once as it makes it look like more people were convicted? Also why is someone convicted in 2018 (but sentenced in 2019 for the same thing) named in both years which seems to have the same effect? That's not to say they aren't bad people just a bit confusing with the numbers.
