Posted on my Facebook:
I received a message from a feminist in South Korea:

"We recently had a little victory here. There was another incident where a man tried to invade women's space here. A man, after changing his legal sex status to female, applied to a women's university in Seoul and got accepted. He said, in an interview with a newspaper, the transgender soldier who was recently discharged after getting sex reassignment surgery, inspired him to speak up about his entering an women's university.

This news enraged Korean women all over the country, and 23 feminist groups in 6 women's universities in Korea posted a statement online opposing men entering women's universities and they also pointed out that legal sex change shouldn't be allowed. They gathered 10,000 signatures just in 4 hours online and this made a news. (The signatures have reached 18,000 now.)

Many women also called the university admissions office and made complaints. After this news, the man said he withdrew his admission and didn't enroll at the women's university because he got scared watching fierce opposition against his admission to a women's university."

It's funny how libfems in UK, US etc think things like radical feminism is 'some middle aged, white woman thing', when in most countries around the world it's a pretty normal kind of feminism. I was very confused when I first moved to the UK and came across libfem arguments, even though I'm not an expert in feminist theory.

Well done to the women in South Korea!

I can imagine something similar in India, as well. Indian women and feminist groups are VERY outspoken and not at all accommodating to men.
It's not just a white, middle-aged, old-fashioned notion, that men and women are different and have different needs. Most of the world know this and has always known this.

I think the problem in the U.K. is that most branches of feminism, while some of them recognise differences, most of them do not respect these differences. Traditionally female roles, spaces, characteristics etc have all been systematically devalued until a woman’s worth seems to hinge on how well she can fit into the traditionally masculine world. This has also made it harder to get men to step up and do their fair share of domestic work, child rearing etc. It has discouraged employers from adjusting their work places to embrace women in favour of merely accommodating them. Western Feminists need to stop being ashamed to be women.

It is certainly true that for meant the emphasis has been on equality as 'sameness'; and striving for equal opportunities and civil rights.......and an under-valuing of, and under-emphasis on, women's differences and on women's many traditional roles, and how they may be better valued.

it is certainly true that for many
