Story here

Male abuser who has harmed up to 15 children freed early because transitioning to a woman and lowering testosterone lowers the risk of reoffending.

Nope, transitioning will never be abused by dangerous motives and we should accept this person into our female spaces.

If male hormone levels were a reliable risk predictor then we’d see loads of transmen taking T suddenly starting abusing people. They don’t. Obviously. What a load of crap.

Whoever invented this measure and decided it should have any bearing on sentencing is an idiot who sees ‘hormones’ as the main diff between male and female.

They clearly do not see male and female socialisation in a patriarchal culture and how that affects male views of their entitlement to power and to sex and affects offending behaviour. How living in patriarchy creates huge and unnecessary risks to women and children. This is not just about hormones.

And in fact that view ^ and the wilful not seeing the social structural context in which biological sex and gender operate and are used to disadvantage women and children is another little prop used to keep up the falsehood that physical changes like hormones are needed to ‘change sex’. Ignoring the fact that ‘changing sex’ is not physically possible.

Does anyone have a link to the case

The view of the AG appears to be that a man with a high sex drive caused by high testosterone cannot help being a rapist. Hence the reduction in testosterone being an acceptable treatment to enable early release.

What a depressing view of men that displays - pure biological essentialism. It seems feminists have greater expectations of and hopes for men than they do themselves.

And if they offend again what then?
