If you have a spare 15 mins, I recommend The Untold Podcast - The Drag Queen and the Dictionary. In short an AFAB Drag Queen who wants to get the oxford english dictionary definition of a drag queen to exclude the word man.
The Untold always just follows, never comments. So i'm left with so many questions / observations!!

Can you tell me what number episode that is?

I heard that programme a while back and made this comment:

It's about a woman who does ultra-fem drag.

See my link Durgasarrow.

Now going to listen to Rupert Everett on Desert Island Discs. (In spite of Lauren Laverne.) One day he's going to really let rip over this issue.

I'm a bit surprised they let him have cabbage Shock - that is food - practical innit?

OhHolyJesus · 05/01/2020 12:48

That link nauticant included Lily Savage who is no longer performed by Paul O'Grady and what looked like a pre-teen shirt haired robot image.

It goes to show how broad 'ultra-fem' is and how outdated it is.

Drag, whoever performs it, is a vile, dramatic, stereotyped 'version' of something that I don't even see as feminine.

I was outraged at Rupert Everett being allowed vegetables, eg courgettes, cabbages, and peas, as his luxury item on Desert Island Discs Melroses.

But I did narrow* my eyes at "courgettes" and was wondering if he was taking the micky.
