The awesome James Kirkup with a depressing piece in which he highlights that the head of the CPS ( Kevin McGinty ) states that "Rape is a crime that is committed primarily by men against women. However, it is also perpetrated against men and boys, so in this report we refer to the complainant and the suspect as “them” or “they”, because penetrative offences are gender neutral.

McGinty of course won't give a toss - presumably if the CPS can join the police and the Ministry of Justice in eradicating all sex based data about rape then these misogynistic organisations can ignore the issue and their failure to prosecute all these "gender neutral" rapists.

Is the CPS independent of the government? They're evidently not independent of Stonewall given what McGinty is saying.

Well that Irish one is a bit bizarre to my mind - penetration of a vagina by anything, but of an anus or mouth only by a penis. I wonder how the discussions came about that made it that weirdly both broad and specific.
