Meghan Murphy, Kara Dansky and Saba Malik at risk of de platforming from Seattle Public Library

Couldn’t find any mention of this on search; sorry if duplicated.

Women’s Liberation Front, essentially the only feminist organization combating gender identity ideology in the USA, have organized an event featuring Meghan Murphy, Kara Dansky, and Saba Malik in Seattle, WA, for February 1st. Extremist trans activists have organized, as usual, to have women speaking about women’s rights cancelled and deplatformed.

Seattle Public Library have indicated concern at the controversial nature of women meeting by themselves to discuss their rights...but also openness to concerns expressed by members of the public.

If interested, [email protected] is the address to write. I know that many MNrs will be more articulate than I.

The Seattle Times covers it (rather poorly imo):

Thank you so much for posting this!!!

I had not heard/seen anything about it until your post.

This afternoon I'll write an email response. WoLF is (as you say) the ONLY feminist women's rights group in the US that focuses on females and takes concerns to the Supreme Court and legislative arenas.

Again thank you so much for calling this to attention!!!!!

Appalling lies being told by people posting in a Facebook Event organising a protest against the talk at Seattle Public Library: “Fighting the New Misogyny: A Feminist Critique of Gender Identity," described as "a critical analysis of gender identity” that will “make powerful arguments for sex-based women’s rights,”.

Women's Rights are Human Rights - and we keep being told by Trans Rights Activists that there is no conflict between Women's Rights and Trans Rights, so what is the problem then with women talking about Women's Rights???

Oh - apparently Women's Rights, despite not being in conflict with Trans Rights, are inherently "anti-Trans" and women who talk about Women's Rights are de facto a "transphobic hate group".

Does that mean then that trans people meeting to talk about Trans Rights are de facto "anti-women" and a "misogynistic hate group"?

It actually looks that way from the hate being shown towards women in the comments in the Facebook Event.

When did women ever organise a protest against a meeting by trans people to discuss Trans Rights? That would be "never".

It all seems rather one sided, all this hate, and all coming from trans people and their "allies" and directed at women.

Reported to Facebook for "Hate Speech" (not that it will make a blind bit of difference as Facebook does not seem to care who hates on women):

Thanks, Stop! Let's hope Seattle's chief librarian takes the example of Vickery Bowles in Toronto and makes a stand for free speech.

Eugene Volokh suggests it might be illegal for the library to cancel the event based on the views Murphy et al express:

reason.com/2019/12/10/seattle-public-library-considering-whether-to-cancel-meeting-of-trans-skeptical-feminist-group/

If the event does go ahead, I'm concerned for the safety of the women speakers and audience members. Antifa etc are planning to protest. I hope they will keep it peaceful, but having seen the footage of crazy aggressive crowds outside Murphy's last event (and the ones at the Supreme Court in October) I feel very worried.

Ah, Mole, cross-posted. Yes, these are exactly the "folx" who worry me, the ones who think women meeting and speaking = "hate" and "violence" that justifies hate and violence in return...

I was honestly surprised that Seattle Public Library agreed to host the talk in the first place. Seattle is ground zero for wokeness in the USA. Trans ideology is gospel here on the west coast of North America. I very much hope this goes ahead but I too am worried about the safety of the speakers and attendees.
