Took my 11 year old to try on bras in Primark Central Milton Keynes today.

Where once would have been male and female signage now it’s just ‘in’ and ‘in’ on the changing room signage.

No lockable cubicles just curtains with magnets sewn in the hems.

This store only opened at Easter.

Who is designing this thoughtless crap?

Well..... at least the loos in such stores is sex based (for now).

Presumably they wouldn't have an issue with men using them, and would look to educate any women who complained, same as I think pretty much everywhere now.

If I saw a bloke in the ladies these days I wouldn't say anything, you can't can you. 2 years ago you would have said erm this is the ladies and they'd have scarpered (have done this on a few occasions). I'm talking about men who 'present' as men who were up to various things.

Other point
How many teen boys want to try stuff on if there are a group of girls outside a flimsy curtain?
Yes - I know the safety concerns aren't the same but my son would have been absolutely mortified.

I was waiting for my other half outside the men’s loos in John Lewis (who have unisex changing rooms).

A dad went in with his little girl (she was about 10) and I watched men coming out - some flustered and grumbling or looking a bit bothered.

Men (mostly) don’t want mixed spaces - especially if there are little girls. And the men who do actively want it, well my granny has a word for them.

Yy men don't want this either.

Agree if course the safety concerns aren't the same.

The biggest frustration is that if society and policing made the aggressive, abusive behaviour so aborant it was only a hover carried out by a few disturbed few, shared spaces would not be a problem

Catch 22 isnt it. Child cant go try on on her own because its posdible an unsafe mixed sex space,so dad has to go in with her creating a definate mixed sex space
