WWYD - another voting one

Apologies in advance for another post about the election but I'm really unsure and was hoping someone could help me.

My incumbent and seriously safe-seat MP is individually gender critical.. I met him at his surgery and we had a good chat with him seeing my viewpoint from the very off and saying what I wanted to say, but much more eloquently.

However, he is a Labour MP and whilst the recent manifesto has a few chinks in the armour, I don't feel it goes far enough.

My dilemma - he is very clearly GC but I don't think his party is and he does tend to toe the party line! Would you vote for him?

He has been the MP for over 20 years and he took just shy of 60% of the votes in 2017 so i cannot see him losing the seat whatever I do.. I could spoil my ballot, as I have done previously, but do want to make a stand, in an 'anyone but Tory' kinda way, but absolutely cannot vote Lib Dems or Green. There is an Independent on the ballot but I cannot even find details of where he stands on Brexit, let alone the gender debate which is honestly, the biggest single issue which I am basing my vote on.

Help... and thanks in advance!

I think it's important to vote for GC individuals within parties even if the parties are shit, so that there is pressure to change from within. (Though tbh I will have to grit my teeth to vote.) Also to let them know why you are voting for them.

If its a safe seat and he isn't a clear problem, then I honestly wouldn't be too worried about what to do or the outcome, because tactically you aren't going to have a huge influence.
Vote for him, then watch how he votes and acts over the next term.

Thank you both.. I actually hadn't considered your point, Everard - about trying to change the party from within, although I'm not sure he would rock the boat, but I guess if the tide turned even a little more, he could stand up.
